The dreadful war

What a dreadful thing it is
When the world is full of chaos and pain
There is bloodshed and tears everywhere
And the people? They just forget to care.
Guns fire and people die
All the birds, away they fly
The war is over but the scars remain
To remind us of sacrifices made
We grieve over the loss
And learn that life is precious.

Humanity In Our Souls

Kids dying, mothers crying, people praying….
Who has brought this curse upon us?
We ourselves, reasons for life and death.

Are we perfect? Are we wise?

Do we care for each other’s lives?
Killing and hurting bring hell upon our lives.

We have to stop the madness..
Before it spreads.
In the forest through the hearts of men
Tearing away at life out of them.

War might be thrilling but it kills
Rich or poor, what difference do we make
All of us have a humanity in our souls.

Find peace for the sake of every life and stop the war…

The Red Dove

War is like an almighty being

You cannot dodge it
Its at every turn and corner
It holds immense power
Powerful enough to turn countries,
Allies and friends against each other.

War is inevitable
Yet it is not.
It starts over petty issues
Like the death of a prince
And turns to a worldwide issue.
The funny thing is
At the end, we can stop it.

What is war anyway?
The firing of cannons
The falling of bodies..
The pooling of blood
Deafening sound of gunfire
All against humans.. one life against another
Sole purpose for today
To find again the white dove..
Why should we stain it red?
Stare down the face of war
And it will cower
Peace can come
So can come the dove
In its white feathered glory, without the blotch of red..

A soldier’s life

Blood all across the battlefield,
A thousand souls lost…
Tears full of pain,
Of the families in Loss.
The sound of cannons,
The smell of blood…
The firing of rifles,
All it’s worth is death.

There, the soldiers stood,
Serving the country for peace,
Miles away from home they stood,
Serving the country for peace.

What a difficult life it is,
To serve as  a soldier
How hard it would be
Standing in front, waiting for death…

They stood for hope,
They stood without fear,

Wish for survival in a battleground.
Fighting with death,
Miles away from homes they stood,
Serving the country for peace.                                                                 By Mohammad Ameen

Another Chance

War is infinite plunder into hell,
When your families at home think you are well.
War is nothing but a forced suicide,
Just so, you cannot step back from dying.
War is a chance to make peace- some say,
To stop rivers of blood, they say,
Everyone should be united.
So that another door is opened.

But instead, peace can be made before war,
Wherefrom the families know the loved ones will never come back.
Make peace before war,
So that the doors are opened in our hearts.

Be so loud, that it can be heard by the clouds

Why war? Why not peace?
What have we done that we are getting this.
People dying, their families crying,
Huddled at a corner, sitting sadly; never seen a family happy,
We don’t want war, we want peace;

Be so loud that it can be heard by the clouds

Why war? Why not peace?

What have we done that we are getting this.
People injured and hurt so badly
They cannot be healed so easily and lightly
We don’t want war, we want peace,
Be so loud that it can be heard by the clouds

Paradox of World Peace

Bloodshed and blood lust is what we call war
Injustice that happens on land not so far.
The bombs placed to kill, and grenades thrown to fire,
Are not taking us much higher.
The gun pointed at a soldier,
Does it stop from peace we vowed to render/

India, Germany, Poland and America,
People all over experience the cruelty
Countries looking for prime leverage,
Have been brought down by severe carnage.

This volatile term, war
Needs one factor that can take it out,
It is the Chief of our moral also known as Peace.

Where the Heart Lies

On the field away from home
            10,000 men stand strong.
But, yet in all their hearts
            Fear toils playfully.

In the home down somewhere, far                                                     away
      A family sits in waiting.

       The men fight for peace
But yet they go to war
       What sense does this make
When the trumpet of death sounds.
        The horses run
And the cries of war go forth
But yet we say we go to war
        In the name of God.
       What sense does this make
For no God would want war
In his name or in the name of his family.

After the battle, the bodies are sent
To the ones they once loved
And the surrendered are sent away
Away from home down below somewhere,
Where a family sits in waiting.
